how do you embroider these letters? with the embroidery just on the outside and fabric on the inside?

The letters are applique and are stitched on before the pillow is constructed. Is that what you ean

These are applique letters. I would think they would come with instructions explaining how to do them.

These are Applique and most applique have a placement line ,lay the fabric over the placement, then a tack down, then trim the fabric close to the stitching , then the final applique stitch which covers the raw edges. I must warn you that applique is addictive. Kay

Applique is really fun and fast stitching. There are a special kind of scissors that have a razor sharp edge made just for applique. I finally bought them and they really help get the fabric trimmed really close to the stitches. Warning - applique is addictive!

I just wanted to add that that fabric, the letters are stitched on, is really popular now with baby layettes, right up there with owls and frogs! I think it's called Minky, maybe?

There now, you have your answers, The Minky fabric is very very soft and good to use for blankets or pillows or toys. Applique is my very favorite thing to do./Lillian

Called appliqué JuJu designs have some lovely ones not free but cheap, I think $5 for set
