Good morning. Daisies have always been my favorite. Can't say why they just caught my eye as a young girl and have stayed with me. I have many daisy emb designs and have used them a lot. Also have made initial pins using store bought daisies taken apart and embroidered in the center. Love these flowers. Hugs. Nan W

It's quite impossible for me to select just one, but I guess a favourite since I was a little girl is the 'for-get-me-not'
I can't remember if I have any in my collection, but I'm sure I would have. I haven't stitched one out as yet.

Wow, what a question! I love all flowers as most women do. I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be a lotus. I do have a few in embroidery designs that have been used a few times but not of the angle I want. I would love a lotus in profile. It is kind of my trademark for the things I do by hand.

Some of the Australian native plants are favourites and I've stitched them lots -for one of my friends! I also like Proteas & Fuschias and have sewn neither but do have a number of designs of them with great plans :)

I love roses. I have some lovely ones in my collection and yes, I stitch them often.
I have also got threads that can tone the shading beautifully.

Actually I have so many faves, this is difficult, I would have to say Gardenia is my very fave since I have told my girls I want a blanket of them on my coffin when I die. It was my G. mother's fave and I learn at a very young age to see her picking up pruned bits and see her root them. They also bloom all summer, make good cut flowers and beautiful corsages. My 1st corsage was of gardenias at age 9 and yes I do like to embroider them/Lillian

Like some of the others, I love many different flowers. However, Ilove roses the most. The first design I ever digitized was a rose. It was horrible but I was so proud of the fact that I did it! I have never fixed it and probably never will. I still have the hoodie where I stitched it out, although it is worn-out.
I have so many roses I have collected. I will never be able to stitch them all!

Sweet pea,Lilac,I do a wall of sweet pea in my garden the perfume from them, Wow.. love them.

Just love all flowers - would say a lily and orchid is just a bit more sophisticated. Have stitched out a few of them.

lady slipper, Minnesota state flower. It is beautiful with a loon, which is our state bird. Embroidery library have the best, but they are also from Minnesota

I love most flowers (not keen on carnations) But my favourite ( At the moment) Is Lily of the Valley. The smell is so fantastic for such a small flower. No I have not got a design of it yet!

I love pink tulips, I have planted probably 200 of them thru the tears but my squirrels have dug up all of them. Never stitched one.

My favorite flower is rose.

I love yellow roses. That the flowers I had in my going away corsage when we got married. As for stitching them, no I haven't really done anything with yellow roses in.

Lilies of the Valley. But they don't grow here, it gets too hot for them. I've been working on lily of the valley bed quilt with about 50 different patterns of quilt fabric with lilies of the valley on it. Needless to say, it's still not done. It doesn't have any embroidery in it, but I think I will put them on the matching pillowcases.

Mine is the Iris - it reminds me of my Mum (though I'm not sure why??) I do have one in an embroidery design but I have only stitched it once. I have cross stitched (by hand) another before though. Always on the lookout for more :)

I used daisies for my wedding, and I've grown the giant sunflowers for many years. My grandmother used to dig up her rose bushes each year and replant using new clay & soil, and roses also remind me of my mother. Morning glories remind me of my father, and I love wisteria blooms. I currently have yellow Hibiscus and would love room to grow daffodils & jonquils. (How many votes can I have? these are my favorites) Also, for Mother's Day I stitched up table linens & an apron for Mom in 9 different flower embroidery designs.

Iris my mother has one of every color at her house all around her house they are so beautiful when they bloom , Some of them are rebloomers from all over , Her mother before her had iris and I believe my daughter will have some at her house someday !

ok hollyhocks (best I could find) roses lily of the valley, daisies,tulips, & iris's, & not having any luck with sweet peas but I am still looking not sure what a lotus is but I'kk be back with more! Hugs Loralye

sweet peas I see the vines for them too! yeh Boy am I ever glad that most of us like roses I know they are all the right colours but there alot of them sew I hope thats ok

The Rio Samba Rose is my fav. DH and DS bought it for me several years ago for mothers day. it is over 6 ft tall and over 5 ft wide. people stop on the road when it is in full bloom. I just love it.

Hi Loralye, my all time favourites are FRANGIPANI. Then I wouild have to say Freesias, Jonquils, and Sweet Peas. Any really strong smelling flower really! Love and blessings Chris

P.S. I don't have any Frangipana embroideries, but have sewn out Sweet Peas and practically everything else.

If I had to choose one flower then it would be the peony. The smell wonderful and are very girly all ruffles.

I like unusual colored or multicolored flowers. First iris, then pansies, then roses. I have lots of all these designs, but have not taken the time to embroidery any of them for myself. Someday :)

My favorite flower is Lily of the Valley and I haven't seen a design of them that I liked so I have none. My second favorite is roses and I have lots of different ones to choose from.

Every one has a Memory plant that just the look and scent of will evoke a special memory in our heart and bring to life a preciouse momment and for just that brief few seconds we re live that time.
Mine is the Indian Balsam. It grows wild along rivers and around lakes and has a very musky perfume that is very strong in the summer evenings.
Just the scent of it will take me bck to wheni was five years old and walking along the river with my stepmother, my hand securely tucked into hers.
Just by closing my eyes i can hear the birds singing all of them to slowly fade away untill just one single Blackbird sings on, to give thanks of the day given and a request for a safe night in the trees.
and as this flower grows wild by water i do nothave it in my garden . But, i do have one more plant that has traveled through life with me wherever i have stopped for a while to plant it.
It was grown in large clumps in my step moms garden and after she died i dug up a few tubers and took them with me to my then new home and planted them in remembreance of her.
throught out the years i have continued doing this and now i look out of my window and can see once more some new buds shooting upwards to enhance my small patch of earth. It is a blue bearded flagged iris.
My daughter has continued this tradition and has a clump of them in her garden. Now when i am no longer here she will have her own memory plant that she will keep and cherish.
the original tuber was purchased and planted over 65 years ago and long since died and rotted but its legacy carries on just like life allways does. I wonder how long it will continue giving please to those i will never meet pleasure.
I loved my step mom so much and cherish these yearly memories of her.
Today we bury my best friend and last night when i said my last goodbye to her i placed in her hands a small sprig of Rosemary for rememberance and a few stems of Forget me nots. And so another two plants in my garden will bring someone else i loved dearly close to me again. annie
