Nine Patch Variation Quilt. I taught this class at the beginning of the year at our local county extension office. I think it looks like a faux Irish Chain. I just finished quilting & binding it. I fell in love with the fabric. It's yellow sunflower on a purple background & I found it all at Wal-Mart.

Thank you, I have never seen sunflowers with purple back ground. Usually blue or green.

One word - STUNNING. Wish we had a Wal-Mart in South Africa. In a way they are here as they bought shares in a chain store in SA. But NO material

Very nice! How did you do the border? I can't make it out in the picture. Hugs , Susan

The border is a circle of sunflowers in a basket. I cut it off of the fabric that I used for the backing & The binding is stars that I also cut away from the backing.

Ok - I am a quilter too and for some reason can not figure out your pattern here. I tried enlarging the picture but my brain must not be working. It is lovely and I think I would like to make one too! Any hints?
