Is there a free program out there to resize your photos pixels down to the amount of pixels that this site will allow. I think it is 3000 pixels. I would like to post some of my projects here but I can not resize my photos to post here. Any help would be appreciated! Suzanne

I use Irfanview which is a free download. It's easy to crop, resize and do a bit of editing. I also use it to convert .bmp to .jpg/.jpeg files.

Yes and it is all probably all ready on your computer called "Paint" -- place your cursor on top of the picture you want to resize and let it rest there a second - a window will pop-up and you can see information for that picture - make note of the size (such as 1200 x 800) You want pics to post to internet to bee 400 x 400 or less. Now open your Paint program and open the picture you want to resize. After it is open go up to where it says "File, Edit, View and click on "Image" then click on Resize/Skew -- Now in this window type in the size you want to make the picture and it will resize it. For example I just opened a 400 x 400 picture in Paint and then clicked on "Image, Resize/Skew and it said "Horizontal 100, Vertical 100" - so I just clicked on the little box where you see the 100 and typed in 50 in both and this made the picture half the size. Then I saved it and renamed it. Then I go to where I saved it and place my cursor on top and wait for the little window to pop up and see that now it is 200 x 200 - very nice to post to internet. Hope this helps! Another way to view what size your picture is is to just click on it and you will see the information at the bottom of the window. Now you will also make sure to save the picture in JPEG or GIF or BMP file format to post to internet and you can do this by just choosing this format after you resize and Save from Paint. Feel free to PM me for more help!

I can see that you have some answers here too but for what its worth I used to go through all of that paint program even picture manager from Microsoft (came with my pc) will shrink them down to web size sm or lg or e-mail sm or lg. But now I don't bother. If you shrink them then the cuties can't get a very good look at them, just make sure they are jpeg when you save them & you should be fine

This was the first one that popped up on my google search for "picture resizing". Works very quickly and I use it for my pictures I post here.

I won't guarantee this works, but I read on here that if you e-mail the pic to yourself, then save that pic, it should work to upload here no problem. WOrth a try? Linda
