My embroidery machine is sick.

I think I am going to have to put her in the shop. It is time anyway but the bobbin thread keeps coming through my designs. I find that the thread is getting caught on the way down to the needle. Don't know how to explain. It is getting caught in the path that you thread it. I have tried loosing the tension, don't know how much to loose it. It only happens when embroidering. Can I continue to sew on it or shall I put it aside til I get it serviced?Thank God for having more than one sewing machine.

It does sound like you have some tiny thread caught up in the upper tension - best to get it service unless you are game for taking your machine about and using a fine tooth comb to get it out - those service people have much better eyes and use of their hands than I do. Good luck.

You can always try to use your machine - but you might have alot of broken threads and stop and starts - just to warn you before you start.

that was my thought too. Broken threads. I looked at it, as far as I could see. I was afraid to take anything apart because it is a computer. Thank you for your input.

some times the bobbin gets a nick etc and this can happen, try new bobbin and watch the thread wind on,if this will not work,to the man it must go

Thanks, tried re-threading bobbins, changing bobbin, changing threads, all that.

Taking the top cover off should not be difficult. Also running dental floss through the path may also help getting any lint out. Good Luck Live Laugh Download Stitch!

I will try the floss. I would be running through the thread guides, right? That's where the problem is.
