I remember using the first CD's I no longer wanted as coasters with cork glued on the bottom. This is a good use of those CD's and they are sturdy and can hold a large glass/mug.

Thank you all for your comments. I was hesitant to slip the CD in place--held my breath until I was sure the needle wouldn't hit it. Went perfectly..no problem at all--except getting all my junk food pictured! hehehe
