I put patches over holes just like doing an applique. My husband's bird keeps chewing a hole in the shoulders of his shirts, so I put an applique "patch" that was a rectangle with a lizard in the middle. For a while she was afraid of the lizard and didn't bite the shirts, but now she just bites the lizard. When you do it this way, you just want to make sure your patch material is stiff and tough enough to stand up to patching a hole. Welcome to Cute!
