I wrote the site:"This new alpha Aloegem, was the letter a and B already given, or do we
start with C as a free letter?
It is lovely by the way, thank you!"
The only reply I got today:
"G'day
keep in mind the designer makes nothing when 3000 people download the free designs, A and B are for sale."
So you know now why some of us ( like me) thought we missed these. Hugs, Gerry

I saw Glenn's email saying that he will not allow his people to give away anymore alphabets. IMO it is cutting off your nose to spite your face, but I certainly do understand his/their frustration!
I once had an e-mail too that he was going to delete all who had not bought. Mind you I get a note when I check out the free ones, that I can not buy where I live lol, so you can not win anyway.
I am not trying to be mean spirited but I WILL remember the sttitudes when I choose to buy my designs. I like alot of the designs but I also have more designs than I could sew if I lived to be 500. The money is not the issue, just the attitudes! I have been in the craft business and good attitudes from me and my employees were a MUST! You can gain many $$$ from a good attitude and lose customers completely from bad attitudes. I never thought a couple of dollars was worth loosing a customer! The good outweighs the bad although bad spreads much faster! It is just human nature! Glenn has changed over the yrs. Yrs ago, I can remember him being very nice and very helpful to his customers. I no longer need designs, I just love them. I started out paying for all of my designs to the tune of anywhere from $120.00 for a set up to almost $200.00 a set because It was one of my business expensives for my Craft Store. This was way back! I did collect alot of free ones online but back then, they were not the quality or quanity that we have at our fingertips now.
been collecting designs for many yrs and I really do not need anymore, just love the newer designs. I spent fortunes when I first started because it was for my craft store's business. I paid way too much for what I wanted but back then, the free designs were not of the quality or quanity they are now.
I even purchased a disc and paid $300.00 for it "on sale" and when my computer crashed it was still in the slot when my son took away the old computer. It was gone as soon as the computer was carried to his house. I was not at home when he decided to swap out the old for the new so it was gone forever. In the beginning, you had to purchase every design you used to insure quality. I got upset about it but it was not important enough to dwell on! It was Singer so if I still had it, it would be rarely used now!
swap out the old with the new computer sooo it was gone! Thing is, giving designs is a must to entice customers because there are zillions of designs everywhere for free so you have to be great with what you are selling and have a good price also. Your $40.00 set has to outshine similar designs for much less!
$40.00 set must really outshine a similar one that is much less! Your designs have to be great and in-line with your competitors because their's are great also. You must also WOW your customer!

Yeah, his emails are becoming abusive. I unsubscribed. I didn't complain about A & B, but I feel like he is venting on everyone. I had nothing to do with any of it, and then am treated to a lecture about other people's actions. I have bought designs from the site to help contribute to them for the free alphas, but I've had enough.
