Silly me!I had been watching a porcelain doll on Ebay all week. I was all set to buy her. She sold for $2800.00 DOLLARS! A tad out of my range(I was set to bid $79.00 Big LAUGH!!)Just loved her face.

That looks like a reproduction doll to me. Wonder why she went for so much. I collect antique dolls also.

Hmmm....I collect french dolls. She just doesn't look that old. But it's hard to tell sometimes from the photo if a doll is authentic. Someone thought she was that old.

I agree...she looks like one of my daughter's dolls, still in a closet in her "former" room:>)

The little face plus the straw hat won me over. Too bad(for me) she went for so much.
I'll just keep looking.
Anabella made a beautiful ballerina. Made she'll sell them so we can all buy one.

I've never been a fan of dolls but she's very pretty. What would you do with her had you won the auction?

Maybe you could take up the rebirthing of dolls thing yourself -it's quite popular these days :) They really do go for big prices and some of the sellers go to great detail with the bedding and clothing etc as well.

Quite a sweet looking face but you saved your money. I have a couple of dolls that were my mother's. But I did buy myself a baby doll - looks like a real baby.

We all get suprizes sometimes. That's quite a sum it went for - can't picture myself paying that kind of money for a doll. (Maybe someone would like to buy my walking doll that is now 55 yrs. old)hehe.
