Well cuties I am sew proud, not only did our daughter love her elf she asked if I wouldn't mind helping her buy a sewing machine!!!! She is hooked too! I have just spent the better part of this morning digging out one of my old machines A Brother just a BASIC model wow, I didn't realize just how spoilt I have become, until I had to do EVERYTHING manually! I have cleaned it oiled it set all of the tensions correctly & had a lovely trip down memory lane in the process! Now both of our girls have the sewing bug! If I can pass dowm anything this would be one of them! I just had to share!

hey I have 3 sisters & 6 sister-in-laws & countless aunties & I am the only one who sews! I am thrilled that both of my girls sew!

It's so rewarding when they ask how do you do that. Your old sewing machine is going to be a great learning tool for her. If she likes sewing then she can get something better later.

How wonderful! Neither of my girls sew, but they both know the basics and one can do a little more and has tried. My daughter in law can sew, but hasn't for a long time and now she has my old sewing machine both her and my son do repairs - woohoo!
Sometimes it take them a bit before they realize they actually like it.

That is great. My daughter started to a little sewing when her 1st child was young, but she is now so busy working full time, She even gave me her overlocker and now I have both 3 and 4 thread ones. Shirley
