This is the design that came from a lot of little designs to go on the quilt for Patrick, the young man who is the director of the orphanage in Uganda. I made this quilt with him in mind with lots of fabrics of Africa. The design was too large for any of the blocks, so I decided to do an applique patch and straddle 4 corners. I used decorative stitches then to attach it to the quilt. I found a globe design that had Africa in the middle!
