So is any Cutie doing the cross stitch Antique Sampler from EMS? Would love to know how you are spacing out the monthly designs and how you are doing the borders...I haven't started yet even though there are machine embroidery designs and the border components posted...I've never done one of these by the month...or are you going to wait until all of the designs are posted and then combine and stitch all at once? I have digitizing software that can combine the designs and also sort like colors to help eliminate thread changes...just looking for you input here Cuties...don't know whether to begin or wait...Oh my...decisions, decisions, decisions....

This sampler is from Ellen Maurer-Stroh I've given the link below. I did one of her quilts a few years ago with the Alphabet and it was beautiful. Love Chris

On reading more closely this appears to be for hand embroidery and only the border is for machine embroidery

I am collecting these monthly designs but have not embroidered any yet. I will not make a quilt but I will use some of the designs, at least I hope so. I have downloaded the designs for machine embroidery. If needed, I will put together the designs that are separated, in Embird.
Hugs, Lidia

I had forgotten about these but, yes, I am collecting them. So far I haven't begun to stitch out the designs. It looked to me as though the borders were part of the designs that are on the outside of the whole piece for machine embroidery but I found that isn't so and on further and slower looking I found this information.....

For the Machine Embroidery version of the sampler, the motifs will be in separate files. The border is too large to be used in a hoop. As a result, machine embroiders are invited to 'compose' (and show) their own version of the sampler.

I suppose, then, that we could create borders to suit ourselves but the designs for the machine embroidery borders are now available as well.
