Meganne dear, I want to publicly appologise for upsetting you over my private message of Thursday, as follows:
..
Hello Meganne, I want to applique one of your "I'm a Cutie" designs to wear while traveling and show it off. I played with your design and placed it in a heart with a button hole, what do you think? If you have no objection I'd like to add it to the DBC section.
..
This was meant as a peliminary contact about the subject. You may have misunderstood because I was only asking what you thought. I would never want to claim someone else's work as being mine, I do respect that talent. After your thoughts on the subject we would have decided what to do with it.
..
I must admit that I did not know that you could not make any changes to patterns that were to be used for a single personal use, which is what most crafters do anyway!
..
Again, I am sorry for being the cause of upsetting you and for not having read the terms of use, also I hope you will accept my appology and let go of the tension.

Sadly I think I am not alone in wondering if it is worth DL any designs in future, as the whole subject of copywrite is so confusing.
So many conflicting ideas on what is & is not allowed.
Such a shame as do many talanted digitizers have given so freely.
It sounds as though in most cases it is simply a case of missunderstanding & innocent mistakes.
hugs to all.... kitty
Have a good weekend everyone
hugs

I didn't mention your name publicly as I didn't want anyone coming down on you.
Had you been the FIRST person wanting to do this, I would not have even mentioned it at all, but after this same thing happening many, countless times, your request just happened to be the straw that broke the camel's back and it became time to remind everyone about copyright protection and sharing altered designs that someone else has digitised.
So I wasn't angry with you as such, but the whole situation of people always wanting to change things they haven't created.
I just felt like shouting at everyone..... "if you don't like it the way it is go and find one you do like!"
The whole problem is that when this happens over and over you just get so tired of saying no, then having to explain WHY you've said no.
By now you should know you can ask me to alter any of my designs or you can suggest ideas for variations of my designs and I will go out of my way to accommodate your request. If I wasn't willing to do this I certainly would not be digitising and charging nought for all my hard work.
Digitising is my one escape to give me pleasure and keep me sane.
Hugs and roses, Meg
Many thanks for all you DO for the community and the freebies!
