Flower of the month hand embroidery. This was the project I took on holiday. It was from a kit I bought on Ebay and I don't know where in the world it originated, but most of the flowers are not what we would expect here in UK! It is a gift for my friend who looks after our garden while we are away. At least this one won't need watering or weeding!

This is stunning Sue, I have so much X Stitch here but it has been put away since buying my embroidery machine.

It isn't all cross stitch - there is also herringbone, satin, lazy daisy, french knots and back stitch. I chickened out on the stem stitch as it was impossible to do neatly on the Aida cloth that came with the kit.

This is beautifully stitched Sue well done. The flowers are certainly not Australian natives. Well done . Hugs Joyce

It's beautiful, Sue, must have taken quite a bit of time. I don't recognise most of the flowers but that makes them even more interesting.

I was relieved when I got to August - the poppies were the first ones I recognised!
