I was in the Navy for just shy of 5 years. Had I not married, I think I would have retired there.
I joined in "73, near the end of Vietnam. (May '96),
honorably d/c in '78.

Very nice Shirlene! I come from a family who served as well. My Dad was a tailgunner on the B17's, Both my brothers and brother in law were in the Navy, My Maurice is retired Airforce. I had uncles in the Navy and Army. My ex was Navy and his Dad was a pOW in WW2.I have One great niece in the army, a great niece in the Guard, A nephew in the guard and I'm hoping I haven't forgotten anyone. Both Granddad's were in the service as well. Memorial Day is a special day but I like to honor the vets every day.
