Funny thing is my MIL cannot remember her age either. One day she is 91 or she will say any number. She is 87. I guess the dementia is really fooling her. Not to make fun but I just learned not to ask her how old she is. Or correct her if she says different. I guess if we live to be that old we may forger also. Happy Birthday to your MIL. Hope your doing better.

I do the opposite to try and help her remember. I ask her when she was born, (she knows that off by heart) then I ask her what year it is and get her to work it out. I know she has dementia and Alzheimer's but I hope I can keep her going longer. Some days are Diamonds, some days are Stone.

I printed this page out for her this morning and she has it on the table in front of her... I watch her keep picking it up and read it, over and over. She still has last year's print out and she found it and showed it to me like she had just got it. She doesn't know why she has two lots.
Today I'm feeling very sad for her and I can't stop crying, for as much as I want my own life back I can't seem to let go of the guilt.
It is all getting so difficult to cope with.
