I've been playing around with these today - only started about mid-day. They only take about 15 minutes from cutting to finishing. The actual sewing time is less than 10 minutes. It's found on the Internet - if the link doesn't work just go to YOUTUBE.COM and type in 10 minute pot holder. Love and blessings Chris

Oops! I forgot to mention I have used INSULBRITE in these pot holders. I have run out of the butterfly fabric, so have decided just to use pretty fabrics for the ladies of Cursillo. Only 17 to go. Love Chris

Should I wash the fabric befor I make these? Thanks Iva

personal choice
I only use cotton fabrics and I don't think it would matter as they are colour fast. If you like you can wash the fabrics first, especially if it is a strong red! Ask me how I know!!!!!!!!!

Chris aren't these so fun to make. I made coasters yonks ago in blacks and whites fabrics. I used 6 pieces of 4" fabrics and just light weight pellon as wadding. Ladies a must sew project to do. Have fun :)

That worked! Whew! Since you made this into pot holders, I'm assuming you cut the sqs larger. How large?
I found some really neat stuff that has inspired me. Thanks for this web site. Susan
Thanks Gerry!

The ones I made are actually 10 inches square. This is a great size for getting hot pans etc. out of the oven or off the stove. Love Chris
