Hand embroidery - this piece of counted canvas work (mostly half cross stitch) was my "long winter evenings" project. With a lot of help from Mike, I've made it into a footstool. The roses were quite fun to stitch but the acres of background weren't!

It's lovely, Sue. The roses are beautiful and the blue makes a beautiful statement. I once did a chairseat for my DH - geraniums on a beige background, the colour was as boring as the stitching of it.

I can see what you mean about the background but it is a beautiful piece of work. Was the design by you or other? It is a great 'joint' effort

It was an Ehrman kit which I bought in a charity shop. I added the border part of the design.

This is absolutely beautiful. I know counted cross stitch is not easy and takes a while to do. Counted cross stitch drives me nuts, but I do like to do stamped cross stitch. You did a great job.
