My DGD is going away to a church camp so I bought a few things from the $Tree and made them look more than a dollar. LOL....

The black/pink applique is a laundry bag. That is the first hat I've ever done and it was pretty easy. The bag was called a mother's tote bag with front pockets and it had a stenciled hibiscus which I covered with an applique frame. The journal was one that I made a booboo on and covered it with GG's clippie alpha design...

I know you can find a lot of bargains at the $Tree. But you do have to be careful, sometimes things are cheaper somewhere else. (canned goods etc...) LOL

thanks Loralye. Actually her mom is a embroiderer too, and does their Irish dance dresses, but she doesn't usually do things like this because of time constraints. Gracie loved the hat the most I think.
