Poor Chris, (Pennifold), she came for a visit today so we could do some sewing together, but the Aged Care Assessment Team Lady came to re-assess MIL and ended up being here for over 3 hours, so I didn't get to help Chris at all with the kiddies costumes she is making.
"The best laid plans of mice and men....." So sorry dear friend.
It would be remiss of me not to tell you, that your flashing smile and exuberant personality sure did bring sunshine to my day, at the end of a very rough week. Thank you for being here.

Thanks so much my dear friend. It's nothing, I was glad to be there for you and I know you've had a rough week. One good thing though, being on my own I got 16 of the Lion costumes finished. 4 more Lion costumes to make and finish and then only 22 Monkey tummies to put on. I have training tomorrow and will try and do some more over the rest of the weekend. Catch up with you later. Love Chris

They still diagnosed her as low care dementia status. She isn't really low-care but she isn't yet high care, so it's a difficult situation. So much red tape and it's so confusing, it's doing my head in, I just can't concentrate on anything. Hugs n roses, M

Oh it sure was wonderful having Chris here, she flies in like a refreshing whirlwind and lifts the spirits of all around her. Funny thing is that Polly and Coral also have the same personalities so I can hardly wait for the four of us to get together one day.

Hopefully the assessment lady will be getting some action happening on MIL's care situation. I'm sure it's high time you had a break from that job! No doubt yourself and Chris will have other times to catch up more productively. Pity we're all not lots closer :)

Yes the ACAT lady today was much more helpful than the last one, she even called a local Hostel for us to go and see. They have two vacancies, but our paper work isn't completed due to lack of help filling it out, which thankfully, she took care of for us.

I am glad to hear that they came for the eval - so that you missed the time to stitch with Chris - sounds like a show - Hehehe. I do hope that the two of you can get together soon. And the meeting with the all of you together would be so much fun to have a video or pictures of.

Dear Meganne: I hope now there is a light at the end of the tunnel with getting help for MIL. It will take a big burden off your shoulders, I am sure. I pray that they find a suitable place for her and that she will be happy there.
