As long as you have enjoyed what you have done its OK. You can not fail, as you did the work already and there will be somebody out there that will enjoy your products, even if its family. Don't put expectations to high, its tough out there!

Deep deep breath and tell yourself "this is my passion this is what I am good at and failure is not an option". How can you fail when it's something you love to do EVERY DAY nearly Best wishes you will not fail

I am like you, always worried that someone isn't going to like what I do, but I think as long as you enjoy doing it, you can't fail. You can't please everyone, but there will be ones that absolutely love what you have done. You will do well, I just know it....

I try to look at things like Artwalk Sales, as an "adventure" to meet people, as well as an "opportunity" to display the handiwork! On any
given day, one cannot predict who will come, who will like and just browse, or who will decide to buy! So, relax, allow the day to unfold as it will. Those who
do not buy, may have loved the items and enjoyed browsing. So, you never FAIL; you give others a chance to see your creations, and if they don't buy is because they can't or shouldn't due to their own financial circumstances!! I applaud your getting enough items done to have a sale!! Wish I could have your stick-to-it-tiveness attitude!! Good luck, and enjoy the day!!

You will come home exhausted but feeling on top of the world. People always have something good to say about your products and it is a real confidence and ego booster. You will enjoy it I am sure of that!

The very first craft show I did was and outside one in October! Rain, wind, ended up packing up early and leaving... only sold $150 worth. I was discouraged but kept everything and did an inside one the next year.... and made out very well. If you don't make a lot of money it doesn't mean you failed.... it could be the economy! The economy is one of the reasons that I quit. People are not as apt to spend as much. I ended up only doing craft shows nearer to Christmas because people will still buy for presents. I put up signs "ONLY .... DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!" You could still do that... it would get attention! LOL

I have say that all have said well in answer and all wish you best. This is day Lord has made. May you find Joy in it and those you meet and what sells will but find another source for your goods and enjoy adding to it. You said it yourself Sewing is what you know you love it. Will trust in a peaceful, uplifting day with direction for you.

You are not alone in your fears. My first time as a vendor was heartbreaking to me. My MIL was the only one to buy anything. I was not alone though. The rest did not sale any items either. It was poor advertising. Less than 200 people came.
I am sure everyone will LOVE your dresses! If they don't buy it is only the economy talking. I love what you have done and would buy one of yours even though I could make my own...French Seams and so very cute...I would buy four of yours if I could!

Loralye...failure should not even be in your vocabulary now...just by getting out there with your product you have overcome the biggest hurdle and will open doors for yourself, just by the compliments you receive and the people you will meet. It's not always about the sales, but the journey....enjoy it, my friend!

I wish you a pleasant day showing your beautiful handwork off at your first Artwalk sale. Don't be fearful, for the Lord gave you the insight and blessing to make lovely items. He will also bless you on this sale. Go there with confidence and the knowledge that you did your best. That will be good enough for all to see and buy.*****

All craft fairs are not the same. Some are set up and advertized well and others are not. There is no way you can tell from one Craft Show to the next how you are going to do!! You can sell out at one craft fair and do almost nothing at the next one so please do not ever stop or give up because your items do not sell well in just one show. The outcome is rarely the same two shows in a row! If you have a "failure" attitude, you will surely be very happy at some and very unhappy at others. Crafts sell when the time is right, weather is right and usually when there are several more going on in the same town or close by towns. Always do what you do well but never limit it to just a few different items. Display is important also. Try to put out multiple items that are related, such as dolls, purses, decorated clothes(embroidery), baby things are almost a must but do not go over board on anything because too muxh of the same thing usually ends up going to the the next craft fair. I used to hang a couple of each item up and then package the others so the design could be seen as well as the size of the articles. The more they are handled, the more they will look like they have been around for a long time. The main thing is to have fun, talk to all of the would be customers, and keep uour prices in line with the others that have similar items at the Fair. I usually packaged most of all the baby items in clear garment bags so they could be seen and NOT handled with dirty hands. Remember that food booths are usually serve the most people and their hands are going to be a bit messy after they have been there awhile. I tried to keep the hanging items high enough that small children could not reach everything! Accidents will happen when there are people are outside and shopping with their children! I do hope you have a wonderful day with sales and orders!!

After reading all the comments by the others, it is encouraging for me also as I have someone after me to do the same. I did one years ago (no embroidery, just some small crafts) and it was dismal! But, that was another time, another place, and now I have learned a lot more. With cuties raising confidence - I will probably take the lady up on getting some things done to put with hers. So here's thanks to you for your courage to go forward!

Well if you fail you do what you have done in the past
You pick yourself up ,learn from it and go on .
I have done this many times as you have to:):)
Also look how well and how far you have come in this last year.

Don't go into with the attitude that you are going to fail. You are just setting yourself up for failure.You are a winner whether you sell anything or not.

You have come such a long way since your surgery and you will not and have not failed. Ladies I have to say A BIG FAT THANK YOU Today was a GIANT FLOP the wind was sew bad that things got whipped around & got broken & the tent got bent & I got hit in the face & hand & I was ready to pack it in But my daughter was a trooper until her glass things started to get damaged I guess the winds were gusting @ 45km & it was very open where we were @ Sew we packed it up & I was really down because we didn't even have everything out & we were running accross the street to pick things up!After reading all of the wonderful things that you have all said YOU HAVE ENCOURAGED ME TO TRY AGAIN TOMORROW!I was sew dissappointed & embarrassed I didn't want to come & tell everyone what happened! It is too bad that the weather blew away your plans. But if you have another sale tomorrow, then perhaps the wind and rain will stay away so that patrons can come enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Don't base your view of you on an outdoor event that is mussed by the weather. It isn't accurate, no matter what. Take ten events, and average them, but don't forget to figure in the enjoyment factor of getting to that point!!!
