In need of a few hugs. Get back from holiday late Thursday. Yesterday (Friday) I get an urgent call from my daughter saying that my eldest grandson - Joshua - has had an accident on his motorbike. His left foot has been crushed. He had an operation late last night to remove all the bone splinters as one was cutting off blood supply. He will need several more operations and we have been told that he will probably never regain full use of the foot. Not good news for a 17 year old. He will be in hospital for at least a week, then I will go to Johannesburg to help look after him. Sarah.

Sarah, I will be praying for your Joshua (I too, have a Joshua grandson and step son). It is amazing what they can do these days - travel safely to and from Johannesburg.

Sarah I am so sorry. Kids are resiliant and there are lots of medical miracles these days so one day he may well exhibit no evidence of ever having a crushed foot. In the meantime I pray for all of you especially Joshua. That's God's grace will help him deal with the pain and discomfort that is sure to come./Lillian

So sorry, Sarah, for your grandson's injury. As young as he is, there is most likely a really hopeful outlook to his healing well and regaining good use of his foot. It will take lots of time, but youth have a way of bouncing back and overcoming truly tragic injuries. May the Lord bless him with a fast complete recovery, and you with peace of mind that He works miracles! Hang in there!
Hugs,
Angel

Oh Sarah, this is terrible news. I am so sorry. At least the rest of his body is okay, and they can do wonderful things now with prosthetic devices. But, what a sad things for a 17 year old. I'm glad you will be able to go help. Much love and prayers, Jan

Praying that his surgery will be more successful than the doctors think. Having dealt with my daughter's foot surgery last August and several months of recovery your help will be much appreciated.

I am so sorry to read this. He has youth on his side and I know he will have lots of people praying for him. With a motorbike it could have been worse. Hugs to you Sarah. Keep us posted.
