Here is a burpie I made and I would love your opinion on the skin tone color I used, is it to beige? The little girl design is from Carmellas Corner, (love her designs)others are odds and ends I combined.
Thanks for looking and would love your comments to my question,
hugs
Michelle

There are so many skin tones, how could you go wrong?
For your design's sake, you might just put it in sunlight and see if it balances with all your other colors. Looks good on my screen!

Another great piece of work! The color of her skin is good, just like a baby, very light color...she is so cute.

Michelle, this is lovely - I like the skin tone - what color did you use? I have had trouble finding the color that I have been using for year - the company no longer sells it - so I have been searching for a new one - every color I buy is either too pink or too beige - so I understand your wanting comments.

I like all the colors. Tell me what the frame is in the middle of the burpie? Also it looks like cotton on both sides, did you use a batting in between fabrics?

The skin color looks good. Great design. The color you want to use for a good skin tone on any design is flesh from Robinson Anton. That is all I use. It is a true flesh. Anything else is too pink. You want the face or hands or legs and arms look natural and this color does the best. Try it, I guarantee it. Roberta

I think it looks good. cute burp cloth. I sometimes have to be a bit creative with skin tones as I do a lot of stitching for hispanic babies. I don't want to do a 'white' flesh tone so I have to look for one that is a bit darker.

Thank you so much everyone,
To answer your questions,
On this one I used Sulky rayon #1082 but I am still not 100% satisfied. I find it also depends on the color of fabric you are embroidering on. Fabric- I use a velour terry on the underside (that you do not see) and stipple the middle section (prevents spill from seeping through).
I no longer but batting because the terry is thick enough.
again thanks
hugs
