Just feel terrible. Our doggy of about 10 years somehow got under the car's wheel. Needless to say we are all in tears but worst is my husband was driving and I do not know how to make him feel better as our hearts are all broken.

Oh no. I am so sorry. I feel for your husband and I really have no answer how to make him feel better. My husband once drove over a strangers dog and was bothered by that for weeks. I can only imagine what it must feel like when it is your own family pet. No matter how much you tell him that it was not his fault only time will heal. Hug him.

Thank you - only found out this morning it happened to a friend about 3 weeks ago. He suggests to get another dog for the girls sake soonest. Mentioned it to my daughter when I picked her up from the exam location and she seemed to be wanting it.

I am so very sorry - I can imagine what you are all going through. This is always one of my big scares that my pekinese will get under the car. Big hugs for you and your family. Sarah.

I am soooo sorry. Please reassure him that it was an accident and that they happen. It wasn't his fault, things like this happen. My heart breaks for you too.
Hugs, Jan

Thanks for all your support. Followed my friends advise and got a small puppy for our daughter. It seemed to have distracted my husband a bit as he makes it his work to take the puppy out after she had eaten. My girl is happy too and she seems a bit more consoled. She has to devote a lot of her time to the little one feeding etc and now she does not have the time to sit and mope.
