Introducing our new baby Rio (Quaker Parrot), he is only 1 1/2 years old. This is my husbands birthday present and mine rolled up into one gift. We miss our Grinch and love Quakers. The woman was wonderful, she wanted $130 for him and I told her thank you but I just couldn't swing that at this time - she sold Rio to us for only $80. Just wanted to share this beautiful little boy.

Very sweet. We have a Quarker too. Ours is blue and quite a chatter box. We never know what she is going to come up with next. Good luck with your new baby. Hugs, Susan

Looks sweet. Is he settling in well? Must be quite an adjustment for the little fellow.

Oh he is adorable. I had a Lavender lovebird from a baby and he would walk on my shoulder under my gardening hat and never fly away. I miss him.

I have never seen a Lavender lovebird - do you have a picture? I am sure you miss him greatly.

I had a quaker once. It was given to me. It was the meanest bird I've ever known. I gave him to my ex as they got along well together. Perhaps if I'd had him when he was young, he would have been nicer. I think the previous owner was abusive to him.He liked to be out of his cage and flew around the house. He did like baths so I'd put water in the sink and he'd walk all through it roughing up his feathers.

I found your pic & comment when I did a google search for Quaker Parrot machine embroidery designs. Rio is a cutie. We have two Quakers Kerby is about 20 - 23 years old (we've had her for seven) & Lewis is about 10 years old (we've had him for about seven months). We absolutely adore Quakers.
