well I finally got my embroidery machine back from service....what a disaster... first they broke my needle plate, then they lost my 4x4 hoop, and my electric cord... but I made out okay, the dealer gave me a brand new hoop worth $99, and a new electric cord... and the repair place gave me a new needle plate and charged me only $5

It should now work like a brand new machine... going to test it out really good tonight

Wow, I'm surprised the dealer kicked in with free parts. The repair place should have given you a new needle plate. Have fun testing it out tonight. Good luck.

I hope all works for you after that. If I were the dealer, I would be hesitant to use that repair service again after that whole bit. Good luck!!

Great you can start sewing again ! but I would think twice before I would return it to them in case your machine needs an other service !

Hope it was repaired correctly so you have no more problems with it. At least they made it right by replacing the lost parts.

Glad to hear you got it back! I would give them a second chance if they did a good repair. They made good on the hoop, elec. cord, and the plate. Others have had a whole lot worse service.
Let us know how it's working for you. Good luck!

Hmmm it doesn't sound like they run a very tidy workshop. I agree, the new needle plate should have been free to you if they broke it. I guess it wouldn't seem so bad if they'd charged you only $5 for the hoop and given you the needle plate for free, though :) I think I'd be labelling each item clearly if you dare take it back there next time. I have my own details on a business card taped to the machine & case etc if it leaves here.
