I have a few Birthdays this month & 3 of them are Donna`s LOL anyway I am trying to make this pin cushion look more vintage & I think I am missing someething here any ideas on how to improve this

If I messed around with it I would pull the crochet doily up underneath it making it shorter to see what that would look like. Otherwise it looks nice.

As the doily is draping too long and overpowering the beautiful cushion, I think I would interlace ribbon going upwards through the openings in the doily, like gathering the doily towards the cushion, pull to gather at bottom of cushion and tie off. Do this about every every three inches or so around the entire doily. You can tie off, make a bow with the ribbon, or tie a knot, then sew a button on top of the knot. A ribbon rose hot glued on top of the know would really give a vintage touch. Choose a ribbon color to match a color within the design to do the gathering of the doily. Be sure to measure the inches around the entire doily to decide how far apart to space gatherings, so the cushion will look balanced when done.
I have a wild creative imagination, as you can tell, but I think the end results would make it beautifully vintage! JMHO!

are you talking about the revised one or the first one
