Grrrrr- spent the whole day trying to 'sheer' a dress on my brother innv 900 -checked tension etc etc- just ended up using all my shirring elastic- and pulling my hair out- what am i doing wrong?

Take a deep breath - someone with some knowledge on what you need to be doing - will be coming along - really soon.

I haven't tried so can't help you... but I do have an innovis 900 (still at the repairers) so I will be keen to know what the shirring trick is.

Well, first of all Marie you MUST HAND WIND THE ELASTIC ONTO THE BOBBIN!!!!!!! and don't stretch it. Use regular thread on top and have the stitch length on the longest you can do. I usually do two rows and have knots on the end so that once pulled they don't come out. Good luck, love and blessings Chris

It will ruffle more if after you have sew the rows shoot a blast of steam holding the iron a little above the shiring.But dont't press the shiring
