Question of the Day for Tuesday June 12th: When you give a gift do you include any kind of instructions with it? Like wash only in cold water or hang to dry ? Or like FSL if it gets dusty just use the blowdryer on cold to clean off the dust? Or anything like that? & if sew do you write it out or do you do something fancy?

If I don't have a small card attached with cleaning instructions I tell them when I give it.

When I was selling, I put washing/cleaning instructions on each item.

Since I have only given things to family or close friends so far, I usually just tell them. If and when I give things to others, I will give them a card. Thanks for asking.

I write instructions on the card that I enclose with the gift. That way, there is an association between the card and the project, and they are more likely to read it. When I was doing a lot of the same thing, I had compiled a set of instructions, and just printed it on real pretty paper, which would be placed in the card envelope. Either way works. You would be surprised at how many people do not know how to care for their new special item!
