Picked up my machine yesterday - it was all fixed and had a piece of fabric with all the stitches showing on it etc. Got it home late yesterday afternoon - put it on and "nothing" - boy was I peeved! So after a few texts back and forth it went back in this morning. Christie the lass who fixed it yesterday rang Husqvarna Head Office on the Central Coast and the lady there thinks it's the touch screen!!! Hope it's still under warranty - as it has a 5 years warranty and it will be 5 in September. If it isn't well I'm up for about $300+.

So today in the meantime, I've been making more potholders on my old Husqvarna straight sewing machine! I hope Maarten can sort it out when he gets back on Monday. In the meantime, old trusty is doing its job. Love and blessings Chris

P.S. I've now finished 20 of these. The coloured pink socks are mine!!!!

Beautiful vibrate colors. I've sent for a couple parts for mine machine but the one I need the most is out of stock till next Tuesday. Guess we will just have to keep being patient on repairs.

Talking to my friend in Melborne last night. She sent her 10000 in for a service and it came back with a squeak that was'nt there before, sent it back a second time, came back with same squeak. He said it was fine when it left him. Lady in the store put a couple of drops of oil in the bobin area. Fixed Squeak.

Hi Shirley, I don't know what the mechanics do to them, but I am now very wary of my machine. Love Chris

Me too! I still have another emebroidery machine at Amy's, but it's the old kind with cards. I haven't sewn on it for years now too, and I'm not keen to have a go again. I'll just have to wait for mine to be fixed, love Chris

I had a new touch screen on my then 12 yr old Designer1 last year, before I gave it to my daughter and paid €70, no additional costs as I had it there for the annual service, which costs €50. $300 seems excessive!

Lovely potholders! And a lot of them.
I should do more sewing instead of digitising.

We have to pay so much for our machines over here in Aus. I'm just praying that it is still under warranty. Love Chris

I was considering a used Brother ULT that had a cracked screen. My store repair person quoted the replacement at "around $800...if we could even get one". Left that puppy with the seller! Hope they can just replace a sensor or something.

So your machine apparently sewed okay with the tech, before it travelled home again? How frustrating. I hope they sort it out for you in double quick time, Chris. And with no further expense would be good, as well. Maybe it has travel sickness :(

Ha ha ha! Yes Christie had the piece of fabric with all the stitches on it. I hope it won't be too long for me to wait till it is fixed. Love Chris

Hi Soozie, yes I am getting a new Brother Quattro about November. I have to wait for my Super to come through after I turn 60 in October! Can't wait, at least I'll have another embroidery machine if one breaks down! Love Chris
