Sigh, you think you have everything under control and Bang! My laptop died Tuesday night. It had my programs to organize, store and get the design to the machine. Sigh The good news is that our desktop computer should be delivered on Monday with my husband's Pro Goods. That has my programs and designs in it. Maybe by Tuesday I can begin stitching. And boy, am I itching to be stitcjing. Hehe.

Unless your laptop screen died, the laptop can be saved. Even if the screen died the laptop can be used as a desktop with an external monitor. Send me a PM if you need help. I can try to give you ideas on how to fix the laptop via PM.

Thanks. My husband has the hard drive out of the case hoping to salvage the stuff on it. I already have a new laptop waiting for the programs to be put in. Sigh! All of my programs are in storage. But my desktop should be delivered on Monday. Then I will be up and running. Moving is always interesting.
I'm using an external screen/monitor until I get around to buying a backlight replacement for my lappy too, good luck with yours :) xXx
Just a thought but my the place where I get parts for computers mentioned that most ppl replace their lappy when really only the CMOS battery needs replacing. So the traded in lappys are sold again (cheaper) to others .. heh recycling ;)

I know of someone who had the screen go on their laptop and hooked it up to their desktop (or it could have been another laptop - don't rem. for sure), and used it that way.
Nice to see you - how did the move go - if you put anything on here I must have totally missed it! lol

I just finished dealing AGAIN with the Smart Fortress that I got off Embroidery Passbook. Apparently the technicians I was dealing with before didn't get it completely removed. Came back with a vengence and wiped out my hard drive altogether. Several hundred dollars later and I'm up and running again.
