Just put the concave side of the tape to the inside and it works like a charm!

I think these are really cute and your thought of the snap a great idea - but I have to ask - what is a tape measure snap?

The top hem has lengths of retractable metal tape measure in it. You cut pieces to fit and round off the ends (and perhaps add some plastic tape for safety). It works like magic.
