I made two for hubby and me and attached ribbon (will eventually attach ribbon to all umbrellas tomorrow probably) to them and tied them to our wardrobe keys but there are really many things one could do with them.*4u

For the umbrellas what did you use for a stabilizer to make them stand alone? They are so cute and would be great for my upcoming daughter's baby shower! Good idea and great job!

they are stitched on water soluble stabilizer (not the filmy type, the vilene type), I used two layers. *4u

these umbrellas came from 5 yahoo groups - Western_Embroidery, embprojects, KatieFund, adesigninstitches and PinMoney_Embroidery. they are no longer available on the groups since they were April's project but there may be info about them in one of these websites.

thanks sqdancer, no they are not magnets, I will put a piece of narrow ribbon through the little loop of top of each umbrella and then they use them as they like. *4u
