I am trying different pincushions for a swap I'm in. So far I have these two done. I kind of like the cathedrial window one, but the directions left a bit to be desired, lol!

Thanks! Neat site. We have only 5 designs to choose from only and these are two of them.

I might have to make the person I swap with an "extra", lol just to send something different, like maybe the mouse, country mouse, or a wrist or ring pincushion, lol!

Thanks for the link. I have a pretty tea cup and saucer that I only use for decoration. Using a tip I found here I can make it into a pincushion and it will be functional as well as pretty.

They are nicely made and the second time usually goes easier after you figured out how to do one.

Even if the directions were hard to follow - you did a great job with it. It looks really complicated to me - I would have to have very very good directions.

They are beautiful. Is the Cathedral one made by hand. I did one at a lesson a couple of years ago all by hand turned out great but was not able to do another once I got home the written directions to complicated for me all the folding and turning . Hugs Joyce

Actually stitched with the machine. Lots of pinning and trimming to make fit right, lol!

When doing the pins and needles pincushion, use a very narrow ribbon. I used a 1/4 inch ribbon and it was a bear to get to go through the cushion. Another option is to use embroidery floss/thread instead. I tried to add these links when I first posted this photo but for some reason they did not take.
