I had the pleasure of having dinner with a local quilter. She teaches quilting classes and has her own quilting business. (Her husband and mine work in the same industry which is why this dinner took place.) I was thrilled to see her 14 foot quilting machine in her home. They actually chose the home for the long thin bedroom that houses the machine. She has so many wonderful and beautiful quilts in her home! Also a glass front case about 5 feet tall for her threads. And since there are no children there now she gets almost all the rooms for her storage and sewing. Do I sound jealous yet? She does machine embroidery too but it is not her expertise. I learned about Baltimore album quilts from her. I attached a link to the Wikipedia about them. She is currently working on an applique Baltimore album quilt with a Halloween theme through a class she is taking. The teacher of this class used an applique pattern and digitized almost every small part of it to create an intricate applique block. I wish I had taken a picture of it. I attached a link to a Pintrest page and a Google search of Baltimore album quilts.
Hugs Pam.
