Oh my! Prayers for a successful outcome and a quick return to health. Blessings to you and yours! can you tell us his first name?

My daughter was born with Tetrology of Fallot. She had her first surgery at 5 years old and her second at 20. She is now 33 and doing well. It is the hardest thing to watch a loved one, especially a child, go thru things like this. I always tried to focus on being thankful that repair was an option. Not that many years ago, it wouldn't have been. Stay strong, kids are very resilient.

I can understand your fear, a precious grandson and to see them so small to have to go through heart surgery. Pray all will go well for him.

Knew a boy years ago with hole in heart, when time came had his surgery and now is father of 2 healthy boys and he is over 6 ft high. Just have to believe. God Be With Your Family.

In 1972, before all the new modern heart technology, my daughter, age seven, had to have open heart surgery to correct a Ventrical Septal Defect involving a large hole in the two lower chambers. There was a fifty/fifty chance, but she came through wonderfully, was home in 11 days, and turning flips with her sisters in no time at all! Needless to say, it was heartwrinching and a time of despair for me, but she is 46 years old now, and having no difficulties with her heart at all. No meds after the 1st year from surgery. She's on no heart meds now. With all the wonderful technology, your gs will be feeling great and going full blast in a short time! Relax! God is good, and your gs is in those hands!! Hugs to YOU!
