I am interested in the answers you get for this also. I bought "505 Spray and Fix" at my local Viking dealer and paid $13.95 for a 6.2 oz can. I
think this is too much to pay.

I also use the 505 spray can and get it here in Canada
for $12.95 can is 16.91ounces.

I know how you feel, I noticed it this spring when stock ran out and was wondering if they were going to change brands.

505 is so pricy, I also would like to know of any other brands too...

I recently purchased Dritz Basting Spray - 10 ounce can for around $7.00 at Walmart. I have not tried it yet but the can says it is used for quilting, embroidery, sewing.

I've always used 505 spray & fix, but I bought a can of Dritz Basting Spray (Temporary Adhesive for Sewing, Quilting, Embroidery & Applique). Haven't tried it yet...but kind of checked it to see if it was as sticky as 505 and it seems to be. 10oz can for half the price (505 is 6.2ozs). Just hoping it won't gum up my needle.

I use the Dritz from Joann that I get when the notions wall is on sale (or with a coupon). They still had that one when I was there last time. Hope they keep it.....

I have also used KK2000 - It is not as sticky as the Dritz but I use it sometimes when I want to iron away the stickness on certain projects (which you can do with KK but not with Dritz). I don't know if Joanns still carries it or not (have not looked for it in quite a while).

kk2000 is nontoxic. Used to be made by Gunold, but Sulky bought them out. Joanns carries it
It is a little pricey but I will pay more for safe and non-flamable since I have to use it in the house. Always use a coupon though.

Everything from bread to temporary spray adhesive is getting so expensive. What's a person to do? I use the 505 and bought it from Joann's with a coupon.

I use KK2000 it is environmentally safe, and non-toxic, non-flammable, odorless and clear. It comes in a 4.23oz (120G) spray can that lasts me as long as the larger 14 oz cans were lasting. I ordered it from the link and had a special with no shipping fees at $14.95 per. I saw it for 11.95 at Overstock, but they are out of stock.

Here's probably the best buy on 505 if you have the cash, free shipping so the 17oz cans are $12.75. Which is less than a single can of 6.50oz 505 at most stores.

I use the KK2000 by Sulky as well, and I buy it at Hobby Lobby. It's usually about 14.99 but with a 40% off coupon it saves me $6 a can.

FastTack 485 is what I use, my dealer carries it and it lasts a looong time. It usaully runs around$ 13.99 US
