My GD spent the night and wanted to sew something. So I helped her make a potholder. Got this pattern here from another Cutie. Thanks for the idea. It was a great beginers project. She is 8 and did it almost all by herself. she is going to give it to her Mom. She was so proud of herself.

Oh my goodness, how cute. That's wonderful She looks so proud. She did a great job! I still have and use potholders my daughter made when she was about that age and that's been almost 30 yrs ago.

She did a great job. It is so good to encourage the young ones. Our local Janome shop has school holiday classes for 8 to twelve year olds and seperate classes for teenagers. They make some great projects and clothes. Hugs Joyce

I must just add that it is not often these days that we see the younger little people do sewing. Thanks for showing her how to sew.

It excites me too that she wants to sew. It has always been a love of mine. I watched my mother sew when I was little but she would not teach me. I learned in school. I love teaching others. If they have the desire I want to teach and assist them whoever they are.
