Oh my...I am so tired tonight..Spent the day with an elderly man for hospice. I think he is giving up. He has lost his son 8 weeks ago and his wonderful DIL is taking care of him even though her heart is breaking from losing her husband. All I can say is what a woman when her own heart is breaking. She has no help with him and nobody comes to releive her to shop...or do all those things we have to do when we lose the love of our life. Sorry for spouting off...I feel so bad for her.

Hugs Joann

Sorry for all the people that are facing things like this alone, There are so many older people that have no one to care. Our world is a sad place, when the younger people have no respect for their elders. Wish I was able to help her, But she has you and you care. Thank you!!

Oh dear, what is a sad situation! I will pray for her and for you. Grief is it's own burden....and too, it is difficult enough to watch another die. I will ask for strength and also for others to come in and assist as you are doing, and meet all of her needs at this time. God Bless you for being there.

If you are spending time with them both then you are helping. She has a good heart to care for her FIL in his last days. Blessings for you all.

I am sorry for spouting off like this. It just is that I came home so frustrated thinking someone should help her.I can only do so much. I am suppose to only do 4 hours but I always stay longer to let her talk to me. I am no hero just want to be a friend who cares.

Oh Joann, this is just sooo sad. Thank you for all you are doing to help this man and his family. May our Lord give you the strength you need. Is there a church that might help if they knew of the need? Is there something we could do for him or his DIL? Jan

That I don't know. All I do know is she said the first week all her friends were there and after that nobody. She said they don't have to stay long on just call she would be happy.
