On behalf of Miss Veronika, Cuteembroidery.com owner, it gives me great pleasure to announce that in about a week, maybe two, there will be changes coming to CuteE that Miss V is hopeful, will please everyone.
Please be aware that, during the period of these changes taking effect, there may be unavoidable disruptions to CuteE, so your patience and understanding will be much appreciated.
Along with these website changes comes the appointment of four Moderators, who will, between them, set up and enforce rules for the site, in accordance with the wishes of Miss Veronika.
Please remember these moderators are appointed to ensure the smooth running of CuteE, they are not going to settle disputes between members nor will they accept complaints about other members.
All problems reported to one, will be reviewed by the four, for a ruling, on this we have already agreed.
There will be ZERO tolerance for trouble makers, propagating trouble by repeating insulting or nasty posts and name callers.
Your new moderators, in alphabetical order, are:
Jerrilyn, Cute ID (jrob);
Marji, Cute ID (marjialexa);
Martine, Cute ID (mops); and
Meg Anne, Cute ID (meganne)
It is hoped that, in time, you will come to appreciate the dedication these Cuties are prepared to give to make CuteE the most harmonious site on the Net.

Yayyyy!!!! I have not been spending that much time here of late because of the disharmony. Maybe this will improve things. Does this mean that comments and questions cannot be posted instantly - they have to first pass by moderators? Sometimes I ask a question about embroidery and have an answer within minutes. Will this not happen any more?

Miss V is keeping the new format to herself just now, so even we 4 do not know how the new site will work.

I agree it is time for moderators. I think in many ways this site has done well to have ticked along without moderators for so long. There has been the odd incident in the past, but just recently I have not liked a small amount of what I have seen and have even considered not visiting. It seems in life generally that a few can spoil something for the majority. I hope I have not offended any one with my comments they are directed at no one in particular just a general observation of how I have come to feel. I may add I joined this site just a few weeks after it was created (in 2005 I think?)and look forward to enjoying being here again.

Every group I have belonged to has at least one moderator and what Meganne mentioned as insults etc is called flaming! No Flaming allowed-period or elimination from the group. Every group in society needs rules to keep things running harmoniously.
I think the moderators and Mrs V should get together and set up a basic code of violations as preemptive rather than reactive after the fact as a good baseline.

May I please make one suggestion? Maybe there could be an tab called something like "Lighthearted" When we read the postings in Private, those are usually pretty heavy duty, heart-felt, prayer request kind of things. Pretty FREAKIN' sad that one of the main troublemakers is now going to be a moderator. What a waste of Veronica's time. Not that moderators aren't needed, they are, but to assign Meganne any responsibility is such a huge mistake. She is always the one starting crap, with all the members who don't bow down and kissed her special feet. She thinks because she has been here running her mouth for so long and so loudly, that she gets to bully everyone else. I hope someone comes to their senses and rethinks this decision. If not, I'm sure the numbers of members will continue to decline.

Id like to expand on the suggestions of hightechgrammy: Would it be possible to possibly rename the tabs and/or add more tabs so that it is clear where to post things? For example, embroidery on topic, humor, random, etc. Community means many different things to different people. I know that the rules will be posted, but lets make it as simple and easy as possible. No one wants to offend or be chastized. But every one of us has hurt someone's feelings in the past--maybe not here, but somewhere. Let's give each other a break and start fresh.

I've read each & every post, and given you all a flower, thank you so much for your support! Hopefully a change of names for the tabs will be something that's possible, because I agree that would make it much clearer where things should go. Please, please don't feel "chastised" or "picked on" if we suggest your post belongs in a different section. Until there are rules posted in a place everyone can get at them without searching, hopefully we're just gently steering you in the right direction. Since I don't think any of us are psychic, you can't know unless you're told something, right? Please understand it's just "steering the boat", ok, not coming down on anyone with both feet. That's never the intent. We hope to be fair & effective, and be able to have a fun community again, as well as give immediate help to those with embroidery and sewing questions. After all, embroidery help was the original reason for setting up this community in the first place, years ago. It just expanded from there. Let's remember the caterpillar and the struggle to grow strong and beautiful as he tries to escape the cocoon. It takes time, patience, and strength to become that beautiful butterfly. WOW! Vacation week 1 down-2 more to go! Been away for the past week-I even left the laptop behind-won't do that again-looks like it's been busy here-lots of news & new gorgeous projects posted. First off-I would like to say-Congrats to Jerrilyn, Marji, Martine & Meg Anne(I alway thought your name was all one name Meg) I am sure you 4 ladies will do a great job at moderating-I like the diversity of locations. I for one as well as many others am so glad that CuteE is getting an update and more moderators. I had at one point did not want to come on here because of the drama caused by some. It was very distracting and very child-like. (Just my opinion) I am looking forward to a fresh beginning for all of us. Cannot wait to see the changes.

The site may not have changed but the people are a little nicer and some seem to be more concious on where they post and many have changed their acticity here. i for one have found better things to do and dont bother much with ineracting here or anywhere on the net.

Yes, I'm afraid nothing has changed yet and we are all still waiting, but the moderators have been putting their heads together with suggestions for improvements, to hopefully appease Cuties complaints, so perhaps Miss V is working on implementing some of these ideas.
If this is the case (and I am only assuming here) but I can almost guarantee Cuties will be even happier with the final outcome.

Patience Cuties: These things take time. At least Ms Veronika hasn't shut the site down to do all the changes, we are still going on daily. I am sure things are happening, but maybe just not ready to be put into place.

This is a HUGE website, with so much machine language required to create each individual page, trying to keep all the old content and links, in itself, is a major project, let alone trying to make improvements, it is good when SOME people understand what a huge undertaking this is, So on behalf of Miss Veronika, I thank you for your patience.
