This is beautiful. Did you do it as FSL and then glue it to a bar of soap? Where did you get the pattern?

Just any regular design will work, I suppose you could try a red work design, it may look nice to.

Not sure where the design is from, sorry. I embroidery on a layer of Vilene & Organza, then when the design is finished I cut it out leaving at least an 1/8 of an inch along the edges. Then I damped the back of the design well and press it into the soap letting the moisture melt the soap slightly. I use a damp paper towel to press and smooth it.

Love this. I think this would look beautiful in a lace bowl in bathroom. Might have to do one for mine.

it is amazing, i want to try.Is it possible to use the soap on the other side, or just only to look on?

You can seal it with wax, but I've tried it and really don't like the look.

That is really beautiful- Thanks for the picture
I make hand made soaps sometimes so maybe I would do this for guest soap gifts in a basket.

Lovely is the only word I can think of to describe this!! This may sound stupid, but what brand of soap do you use? This one is such a great shape and so smooth. I sure don't see any like it in the stores.
