Tomorrow, we celebrate our 4th, with my husbands family. He comes from a family with 12 children, him being #11.His parents are no longer with us but all his siblings, their children and grands, get together for a day of bar-b-que, horseshoe games, live music (bluegrass gospel and country) and children playing. It is well over 100 of us.We meet at the old homestead. The house is a modest house on 121 acres, which one acre is the family graveyard. My youngest daughter lives out there. We all get together twice a year,4th of July and New Years. We, being 4 couples, get all the meat ready the day before, which was today.Tomorrow all the women bring covered dishes or two.We always have plenty, to which we are very thankful. His sister that just died will be missed, sorely. He has lost 3 sisters, now and 1 brother. His oldest sister is 86 and his oldest brother is 84, both still living and in good health.(His mom lived to 96 and was still raking her own yard at 90!)Will be good to see them all again, so I better get to bed so I can enjoy tomorrow.-Toogie
