I have not touched my embroidery machine since April. There are only a certain amount of t shirts I can embroider for my grand children. I have done some ordinary sewing but not touched my embroidery machine. Do any other Cuties have this problem?? Hugs Sarah.

I don't because there is so many organations that could use your talent, embroidery something, I'll get off my soap box and just say Sew for your g-kids and then let them pick out what they like and put it on their garment. I love sewing!!!! Hugs Diamond

Have at the moment the same problem: No motivation (just when I have a customer-order but that doesn't count).
I should use the time now when I have not so many orders to use some of my designs that I never have stitched (yes I know that's a life's work *lol*) but I'm too lazy. Have to kick myself in the a... ;o)

Well, Sarah, you HAVE been busy - doing lots of other things! When I get stuck in a rut, I just go to projects and get lots of new ideas there. Or I do a bunch of FSL, or a tote bag or towels :-) Sometimes just looking through my stash gives me ideas of what I want to do. Don't worry, you'll get back to it - LOL Hugs, Jan

No, I'm trying to catch up with all the designs and projects on this website. I do not have enough time in a day to get all the sewing done that I would like to do. I have had some kind of machine going for 40 years and do not plan to stop anytime soon!LOL

I think we all have at some time or another. As I have had such poor health for 3 1/2 yrs. and only getting back to normal, it's a long haul to catch up on everything and I just can't get it all done!
Besides, I found this site in the process - to make catch up even harder (hehe).

Yes and no.
There are times I do too much digitising (and test stitching, but that does not count)to embroider enough to justify for myself the expensive machine I have.
And there are times I am running from one machine to the other to keep changing threads.
It does have to be T-shirts only, there are so many clever and beautiful projects to inspire you. Have fun!

Not normally. It seems I always have ideas and things going on. At the moment I am involved with making wedding bells and hearts for the upcoming wedding for my grandson and his fiance. Wedding is not till next year but I figured I better get them done. Hugs, Mary

I'm sure my boy would turn himself on & start calling me..... I don't usually embroider or sew over the weekend with hubby & kids home, and only while kids are at school during the week, so my ME time is very limited & I enjoy every moment. Why not embroider something special just for YOU. Lyn. xx

Have not touched mine for a few months busy doing my other hobby Reborning, last thing I embroidered was a single sheet I use them as table cloths they look lovely when embroidered, I did one for a wedding present I embroidered their initials inter woven inside an embroidered hart and made matching serviettes they loved it and use it when they have guest's for dinner

Haven't done to much embroidery in the summer. I've been to busy with a quilt I needed done for a graduation gift. However, I don't embroider many T-shirts. Towels were great in the beginning but now I embroider mostly quilt blocks. It's so much fun to see a collection of designs at home on a quilt. I did a lady bug quilt for my sister. A patriotic quilt for myself (it has collection from "Cute"; I have a kitten quilt in prcess and I'll be working on a Snowman quilt at somepoint.

Sarah, I love that you were brave enough to ask this question. I have days that I don't have time to get to my machine. However, I usually make up for it on the days that I can. I will do several projects in a row. I have so many great designs and so many family members to stitch for if I don't keep up with it they all will be so disappointed that they didn't get their speical this or that from me.

I just did that yesterday. I found the designs (Roses are my fav) I wanted saved them in a special folder. Cut out ten pillow cases, sewed them all in a row. Set up overlock and neatened as I sewed.
Now all set for the Embroidery tomorrow. Going to mark the ceter spot later this evening. These are going to be for myself.
It is amazing how fast it all goes when you organise first.

I've gone for weeks and even months without touching mine either. Life just gets to busy sometimes and the embroidery gets set to the side for whatever reason. I find I spend more time and have more time in the winter months to do m embroidering.

I find that "life" often gets in the way of my good intentions in doing most everything, but especially embroidering, sewing, or any crafts! But, many times, when I find myself bogged down by demands of life, I can visit my sewing room, see all the pretty fabrics, view the projects completed on Cute, and my spirit and drive is rekindled, not only for stitching, but for handling ""Life", too!!

I know about not doing much since April. I spend most of my time doing cards. Had to try to get any done for a few months that I knew I would be out of a work space. But set up and going again as I have a bunch to do from now to early fall. I spend hours creating each one. It would be really helpful if I would just get them organized. But my grand kids especially look forward to the cards and they keep them all. It does keep me from my quilts though. So guess everyone gets stuck on doing different things and hard to get back to other stuff. I dont do near the things I use to. Have fun on what ever you are working on now - that's the main thing. ♥

I am away from home visiting friends in Oregon for 3 months and I miss my machine something awful! I look at fabric and think about a project and then "oh Rats, can't do that here"! Friend sews and we do lots of projects (made her buy a serger my last visit) but not the same! I wish I could have brought it, but too big for the plane carry on and I wouldn't trust it in baggage!

Don't feel bad, I haven't touched mine since the end of March due to having a huge garden and spending a lot of time keeping it watered due to very little rain here in Alabama.We have the blessing of free flowing water so my husband hooked it up so we could have a garden and boy did it produce! So i haven't had time to do anything in embroidery. Too busy canning and putting up vegetables. I will get back to it in the fall when the weather cools down a bit. Roberta

Yes. In another occupation I think they call it "writer's block." Then I get on a roll and stitch for hours for days. I do that with food too...gobble gobble gobble, starve starve starve, etc. Oh well.

Yes often happens to me. Normally because I have too many other commitments and I am then too exhausted to do the preparation. Currently I am lucky as I am home to see that my husband keep to drs orders. So I've been doing work accounts on the laptop and my machine is stitching away in the other corner of the study. Would have loved it if I could work full time on this basis - unfortunately there needs to be client interaction too.
