JULY CHALLENGE - Michelle challenge, whew this one was something. I have been wanting to make one of these baby sleeping bags for some time but none of the patterns I've seen were what I wanted. I decided to create my own using a yoke from another pattern and building around it. This bag opens totally on one side to give complete access to the baby while sleeping. As you can see I went with cute's monkey designs, added a vine and incorporated our "CUTE" site name. The fabric is a knit velor and inside lined with a light knit fabric. This will keep the baby warm and comfy (it is soooo soft) and makes diaper changing a breeze.
Hope you like it, I am very pleased with how it turned out (despite my fight with a 43 inch zipper, I hate putting in zips).
Thanks for looking

glad you like it,
Zips are always a pain to install put getting easier. This one being so long and on this type of fabric was tricky, but I succeeded.

yep those little fellows are sweeties.
For me the binding is easier, I have sewn so much binding that it was easier than the zip.
They do have that effect on you, don't they
This was the longest zipper I ever put in, have a feeling I will be doing more.

The tricky part was sewing it in when your front and back are not the same lenght and with this fabric, it has a tendency to curl.
I admit I did take it apart once or twice but in the end I won the battle.
glad you like my monkeys

Have had this on my to do list for a long time and have a customer ask about one recently, so decided to tackle it, zipper and all.

Well patents are so expensive that it would never be worth the cost and I am sure someone has thought of this idea somewhere (though I never could find a pattern for one) but this one is my own and I am proud of it and now that I have made one, the others should be easier.

Ah what the hands can create when the mind guides them.
I am always ready for that kind of fight lol
Yours are very cute, I wanted to make the
baby's bottom more accessible without disturbing his sleep. This way the entire right side opens up.
