this is a close-up of my oldest gds quilt, she didn't care much for hand quilting(neither do I LOL) sew I said we would machine quilt it & she loves the scribbles...........it is called stippling. & again I used the soft silver blue thread as I think it is especially pretty

no I hooped these & all in all it really didn't take that long I think it was probably faster then putting it on the frame to machine quilt on the long arm! Thanks Pam, Hugs Loralye

The stipple color of thread brightens up the quilt blocks. She has a really pretty quilt.

I was wondering if she would like the hand quilting.
My hands ache just thinking about it. We are so lucky to have machines to make our lives easier.

I hate sewing by hand My knuckles are to sore for this! & I am still sewing the binding on which for me is such slow going! YUK! Yes we certainly are! I shudder & am in awe @ what woman have done in the past to create a quilt by hand!

Very nice job. How do you get it all under the machine to get to the middle of the quilt.

I roll each side & start in the middle & then because it is a stipple I turn the quilt upside down sew that the bottom of the quilt is at the top & then I do it all over again. Because it is a stipple design it looks the same whether is right side up or upside down.

or upside down.thanks, Hugs Loralye

Great job Loralye. May I ask where you got the stippling designs from? hugs, Charlotte

it's on my Janome 11000 & I just opened one & then enlarged it by 20% & then I duplicated it to fit my square hoop. The seam is perfect as it overlapps & is barely noticable! Thanks Charlotte Hugs Loralye
