I understand you need to purchase a mylar that is for emb instead of the $1.00 store type.
I use the Dollar Tree mylar (Voila Tissue Wrap) all the time and it stitches beautifully and holds up through hundreds of washings & machine drying. Do not use the tissue wrap that has a foil backing or the foil tissue wrap as it will tear when stitched.

My husband was cleaning out his space and came across a mammoth roll of the industrial mylar used for heavy duty projects. It is silver. Is that what you use? I tried some of the iridescent clear stuff that was sorta like the silver stuff without the silver coating, and loved it. But the dollar store stuff is sure to disappoint.

Great Job !!!!! Please tell us where you got your MYLAR from. I was wondering about the difference between the gift wrapping mylar and what is sold on the embroidery sites, other than the price.
