this is not embroidery but it is a craft. I went to a craft class last night where we learned how to make these Christmas balls & the cost of this class was FREE, called a make-n-take, great fun but it sure uses a alot of paint & there is alot of waste too. It has one whole bottle of Martha Stewart paint inside the globe then you tip it upside down to drain & mine didn't finish draining until this morning! But it was fun!

Makes for a nice marble effect. Could probably make them with a less expensive paint.

Looks lovely, I agree with using a cheaper paint - Martha Stewart could get a bit costly!

These are so nice! I did it a bit differently, because I had time to, perhaps the make n take wanting to be finished all at once was why so much paint was used? I put in the first color, quite a bit but not the whole bottle, swirled it where I wanted it, then drained it back into the bottle. When that was drained and pretty dry, did the second color, drained that back into the bottle, etc. I just hate to waste stuff, especially when it's that expensive like Martha Stewart. But my way takes days & days, if you want to piddle around that long. Still fun & they are so cool. Hugs, Marji

I tried to put it back in the bottle but Martha Stewart paints have a tiny hole sew it wouldn't work & yes it was an hour class sew we did have to rush a bit.thanks

I was trying to find the pic with the fog that was inserted inside the glass ball? I wonder how she hooked it on the inside? I think that was really neat & I may try to do that too. Thanks everyone I appreciate all the compliments! ************2all Hugs Loralye
