YEH I GET MY ORIGINAL SEWING MACHINE BACK TODAY! I can't wait, the loaner is sewwwwwwwwwwwww noisy! My machine will not actually be coming back fixed as it has been determined that there is a fault with the new software & this problem only occurs with download designs(which is 90%?) sew I have to wait for a "patch" that will have to be downloaded into my software program! But the problem is they have to create this first! Leave it to me to find a flaw in my machine!

Just in case you don't remember what was wrong with my brand new machine as it has been gone almost a month now. It would not properly read the colors on the designs. Where the color would show pink it would say green & it would not identify which part of the design was being stitched sew I could not always tell what it was supposed to be! & It is supposed to be 100%.

Most machines flub up the colors because of so many threads out there, can't read them all correctly. But it should show you which part is being stitched, even if it's pink instead of green.

It will be almost like seeing an old friend return from being away. Have fun and show us all your new projects

Glad to hear your "baby" is returning...what's the brand and model you have? Hope they gave you a reasonable timeframe for the upgrade to be available...just curious..is it for all of these machines or just yours? Anyone else with the same machine having the same problem? Because, if it's a random problem, they should be giving you a brand new machine...or a refund if you wanted one. Had a software problem with my new Janome SE11000 and Janome gave me a new machine about 4 months later. It, too had the same problem, so I ended up getting a refund after about nine months of problems with the machine(s) and buying a Baby Lock Ellisimo...HAPPY CAMPER HERE! Keep us posted...

no it is for my new machine & I think it is more of a software problem as I can do the same design on my old program & sew it out on my old machine & it is aok

So, if I understand this right, your machine is coming back with the same problem it had when you took it in. And how long will it take for this "patch" to be created? I would have asked for a new machine. If it has the same problem, I would ask for my money back. We have the same machine and I have never had a problem. Hugs..Carol

What kind of machine? Suspicious ol me, I wonder if they kind of 'forgot' to put in that part of the program, hoping you'd purchase all your designs from them, hee hee hee. Usually I just choose my colors however I want, unless it's a really picky "realistic animal" design, where they really matter. I don't understand how the machine can't not know which portion of the design it's assigning to that color, though, even though the color itself may be wrong. My Janome 300E, hardly a $10,000 machine, shows me a little kind of 'slideshow' of which portion is being sewn in what order, and highlights the piece I'm currently on. Hope they write that program for you pretty soon, otherwise how will you use all your downloaded designs? Do you have any kind of software? If not, the Tajima free program has a 'draw ribbon' that will do a virtual stitchout on your computer, and you can see which portions are which color, even choose in the software to change colors to see how it would look. It's Tajima's Pulse, free download, pretty easy to use. It even tells you how much thread of each color you'll need, and costs by stitch count, if you ask it nicely. Haven't tried, but I'll bet it would print a template, maybe even. Good luck, at least your 'baby' is coming home to you, enjoy! Hugs, Marji

yes & I am SEW HAPPY it is way quieter then the loaner! It is the Janome 11000SE
I also have this machine and it does show a kind of 'slideshow' of what is being sewn and in what order - you can have the whole design showing or show which you are on at the time and the color nbr.

My designer 1 doesn't show the proper color either, but does show where it is. I usually print out my designs with the color list so I know what is what. My computer is not near my machine soooooooooo
