Ah yes, MS are notorious for doing that, that's why it is best to disable automatic updates to your laptop, especially if you use it to connect to your embroidery machine. I won't even connect my laptop to the internet, it is purely "standalone" for my embroidery. I use my desktop for everything else, especially downloading designs, virus checking everything before transferring to laptop. So sorry to hear this has happened to you, hope you get it sorted without too much hassle, if i can be of any assistance holler! hugs n roses, M

Well, you probably answered a question I didn't know I had! My desktop keeps turning off after giving a message I don't understand! I too am taking it to the shop to see why! Microsoft did update last week!

Shy away from those updates, they can be troublesome..have a good 4 days away and try not to think about your laptop, hopefully it will be all better when you pick it up from the shop...*4U
