I have the Jr. Wish I would have bought the the other but the guy i bought from said it would digitize and it doesn't. My color chart is good. Hope this helps

I have Digitizer MB -don't know if the X is a newer one. I have no trouble with the colour charts, but then I don't get hung up on colours. I just use the closest thread I have that I like :)

I have Janome's Digitizer Pro, which is pretty much the same except not for the larger hoops of the MB4. I'm not sure what you mean by issues with the color charts. If you're digitizing, you can choose any colors you want from the many companies loaded into the software, and make your own thread charts with many brands of thread. When I open designs, say, from Embroidery Library, who uses Madiera thread, some of the colors that come up are off, notably black will often come up as dark olive green, some greys will come up lavendar. I think in the conversion the digitizing program isn't searching a database of thread number matches across different thread companies, it seems to be matching more on some kind of greyscale value of color intensity (thus the lavendar coming up for grey). I have my own threads in the thread colors box, but even when I open the design in that mode, I have to manually change the colors, the program won't do it. It seems to default to Janome colors no matter what your color chart choice is, if the design is digitized with Madiera, RA, anything different. He offers two webinars (about 2 hrs each) each month and they are available for download or by CD for members...cost is $30 Canadian per quarter. I have been a member for over a year...exceptional webinars and he is the one who help Wilcom test the MBX upgrade before it was released. If you have the new MBX...you should definately check this out. I have not upgraded yet, but intend to..I still have MB3Pro.

I think maybe you should talk to your dealer about that program, I wonder if you somehow got one with a bug in it? Digitizer Pro as you know defaults to vermilion red in digitizing mode. The little spool is red, and it 'says' vermilion red. Of course you know you can click on the thread chart to change the color you're using. Does this mis-match of name & spool color still happen if you choose a color? Who installed the program, you or your dealer? Any chance at all it somehow got mucked up in installation, or that something in your system is not compatible with it? Is it on the same computer as the other Janome program, any chance there's some crossover there? What you're experiencing sounds like a problem within the actual program, not anything about the way you're using it. If you installed it yourself, I wonder if you did a complete uninstall, then re-install, if that would solve anything that might have happened during the installation. Also, you might go to the Janome website, see if anyone else is having this problem, or contact them and see what they suggest. I wonder if you somehow got a damaged disc or something, that's got to be a very frustrating problem, to say nothing of wierd. Best of luck, hugs, Marji
